Today’s brief

Boston completed a three-game sweep of the Giants with a 5-4 comeback win Sunday at Fenway, rallying from 3-0 down behind Nick Sogard's 415-foot homer, two RBI from Ceddanne Rafaela and seven innings from rookie Jake Bennett (8-6); Aroldis Chapman got his 29th save and the Red Sox are 71-59, third in the AL East and three games back of the top AL wild card. On the injury front, Chad Tracy said Roman Anthony (right hand ligament, out since May 4) is moving his rehab assignment from Double-A Portland to Triple-A Worcester this week, with a return more likely for next weekend's four-game set at Yankee Stadium than the Miami series. No activations were made: Trevor Story (sports hernia) and Isiah Kiner-Falefa (forearm) were to be reevaluated in Boston on Monday and could be active as soon as Tuesday, though both have struggled in rehab (Story 4-for-21, Kiner-Falefa 1-for-13), leaving a roster crunch that could push their returns to Sept. 1 roster expansion.

Anthony's Triple-A Move

Red Sox Star Takes Major Step Toward Long-Awaited Return

Chad Tracy confirmed Sunday that Roman Anthony will move his rehab assignment from Double-A Portland to Triple-A Worcester, joining the WooSox for a six-game series vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Anthony, out since May 4 with a sprained ligament under his right ring finger, went 3-for-11 with a homer, a double and three RBI over four Portland games.
